Here is the opening page from Professional Photographer's Magazine who interviewed me for their January 2009 Professional Photographer's opening year issue. The boy in the picture is fighting over buckets. An aid group, Samaritan's Purse, had brought buckets to show how to purify water. No one cared about the water. The people made swords out of sticks. We watched it get pretty violent. One of the Aid workers pulled me out. I didn't feel anyone would attack me but then you never really know when individuals begin a mob. Please remember the people in the Eastern Congo and what they are going through. If anyone decides to donate talk to me about to who and how. God's peace Sherrlyn

I am so happy to hear that your work is helping give voice to those who otherwise may not be heard.
I know you don't perform your craft in this manner for accolades, but I sure want to say job extraordinarily, well done!
There is some moment in each day I remember the very brave people I have the opportunity to know. Nine-year-old Belice in the Congo, raped, her family's goats stolen, and their wood stolen that constituted the walls and ceiling of their house. Can you close your eyes and imagine this?
You are doing great job there as a photographer and a human-beings... Congratulations about the magazin.

Congrats... How awesome! Thanks for sharing!
may god bless you !
I can...
And it reeks havoc on my soul....
So glad you are shouting it out!
Me again:) My step mother-in-law works in Human Relations for Samaritans Purse. She says the conditions there are just dreadful.
My prayers are with those people...
