I think you shouldn't be photographing things like war and the Congo and photograph kids and weddings too. No one can do both of those types of photography.

Queridita, I donot understand this post before to me. It is like someone from inside the refrigerator. My dear, this is a work from the grand heart.
I see here work that can disturb me and then I am made to cry with joy.
I come here by recomendation from another Italia fotografia and I see here the work from the artist. With these things you must continue. please maybe you can read my post by the blowup because I already write something.

Thanks for the visit, it allowed me to find your blog and I'm so glad I did!

I've only gotten through the first page of your blog, I see that you photograph a wide spectrum of subjects and events.

I'm reading the comments on this post and although some of your photos may be rather difficult to look at, not only do I think you should do both...I think you do both rather extraordinarily!

I've always admired people who artistically capture a moment in time and rather it be a happy or a horrid moment, both are important.

Your work is fabulous, thanks for sharing it!

Big Hugs,
Karyn

I never think of myself as a child photographer so photographing 3 babies of different parents and then all the parents as well was a big challenge. Lesson learned--1 family at a time and limit each to 20-30 minutes tops! Now back to journalism and weddings.

maybe you should rethink that statement because that is an awesome baby picture. I think that anonymous above is off track because I just saw your Congo pictures and they are the most touching pictures I have seen come from the Congo. But your weddings and these kids are beautiful

God has blessed us with a beautiful family and over the past few years has again blessed us with three adorable grandsons. In a "rushed" timeframe, Sherrlyn handled all our requests, kept her "cool" with crying babies, and created fantastic photos that will keep our memories alive forever. She captured the love and precious moments of great grandpa (papo) and great grandma (nana) as they dedicated all three of the boys to God. These moments cannot be replaced and we appreciated so much the care she put into the laughs, smiles, and even the tears. Thank you Sherrlyn for your work. Our family cherishes these photos and we cannot stop looking at these wonderful little faces. God Bless You and Your Work. I highly recommend Sherrlyn Borkgren Photography.‎
