An Iraqi Interpreter a challenge to photograph

I have some pics that have been waiting for the right time to be published. Some of them are of the wonderful Iraqi translators who risk their lives and the lives of their families to help bring understanding between the American soldiers and the Iraqi people. But I had to find a way to photograph them that would not reveal their identity. Their life depended on this. The trust that they had in me still blesses me. As far as I know I was the only photographer they gave this right to.
Here is a pic of one of the interpreters and I'll put a few in here over the next few weeks before they get published.

an Iraqi interpreter translates for the Americans, Istonians, British and all the foreign journalists there and of course the military.

They risk their lives and that of their families while trying to help bring peace to the region. They are the ambassadors of understanding. Without them it would little communication. They are people who should be much more honored than they are by all of us. Without communication there is nothing.
