Bridal Portrait or Glamor Portrait Alex Rocks

Photobucket
We photographers always want someone unique to show up when we photograph and here came Alex. Beautiful clothing designer who actually creates her own line of clothing. We are all waiting for it to be named and when it is I'll be posting it right here. I love her turban and her Dubai Middle Eastern look that compliments her gorgeous wedding dress.

Donation Weddings on the Rise

Couples getting married today want to do something different, many want to "give" or have a green wedding as a way to look outward from themselves. Donation weddings are the newest thing. The couple ask guests to donate to a cause rather than filling their already overstuffed cupboards with appliances.
There are groups like animal shelters, reading for children and more. There's no better way to begin a life together than giving.

What do Bride's Say After a Wedding

“Bride’s Magazine” survey

“Now that your wedding is history, what would you change if you had it to do over?” The number one answer was, “I’d get a better wedding photographer!”

Middle East Shopping day

It's only 110 F out but seems to be 130 F because of the humidity. Relief is found in a shopping mall during Ramadam!

Do Tell-Where oh Where in the World would YOU say Your Vows?

If you could go anywhere on our globe would you say your vows ontop of a mountain top, would Santorini Greece or Italy be your wedding destination or would you choose an deserted island? This is Jen's & Jason's destination wedding in the Caribbean. They were so much fun and so romantic.Of course getting married in the Caribbean would make anyone giddy. Jennifer made little welcome sayings and rolled them up in paper and each guest (including the photographer) received one. I'm going to miss hanging out with these guys. I'll add more photos soon

Congratulations to Marquette and Happy!!!

Marquette and Happy sent me this picture of themselves after they won.
Marquette and Happy are the winners of the Free Day of Wedding Photography! There were 2 very close runners up but in the end the photography judges chose Marquette and Happy based on need and ALL the POSITIVE Energy and Giving Back that they do. They are having a park wedding and an evening reception. I'll post pics of their wedding here.

The Love Story Engagement Photography

Engagement Photography

Because your journey began together long before the wedding day E sessions document your love story. These pictures also provide amazing pictures you can use for your invitations and wedding day announcements!

Your images will be passed on through many hands and for generations.
Because fads in photography come and go try to mix it up a little. If you want the latest grunge or filters make sure to have some straight documentary of yourselves taken.
Your photos should reflect your personality so just be yourself. If your session is two hours plan to take a break during the shoot for a cup of tea or coffee. Most of all celebrate the day. Life is gorgeous!

Why My Customers Come Back

http://www.lovesimplyhappens.com Wedding Photography
Destination Wedding Photography, Oregon Wedding Photography for the bride and groom who care about their pictures!

according to Forrester research.. "a sign that in down times,
customers become even more alert to the way they're being treated
and get even more sensitive to the experiences they have"...
in this economic environment, every purchase they make, every service
interaction they have is a large portion of what they care about," he
continued.
"They're more emotional about everything and, therefore, a
bad experience resonates even more negatively."Forrester Research
"Customers will do more business with companies that serve them best, and a good portion of what they evaluate is the experience."

The word client is Forrester Research's word. My word is "friends". Yes my customers do become my friends and I love it. I have been lucky to have amazing people to photograph.

Slumdog Millionaire - India Wedding

Destination Wedding Photography http://www.lovesimplyhappens.com

Destination Wedding Photography
Visit my wedding photography website: http://www.lovesimplyhappens.com
I photograph from Oregon across the USA to your wedding destination anywhere on the globe.
India Weddings are infused with oranges, reds lots of amazing food and they last a very long time. Their wedding began the night before informally and lasted for a good 24 hours. This may explain why the couple does not smile a lot as well as that this is only the second time that they have met. (I hope hope that they are good for each other). The woman's parents pay the grooms parents at least a year ahead for the prospective marriage. The woman will move into the man's family home until they someday get a home of their own.
This wedding in Chennai India was lovely even under florescent lights. A nightmare for color correcting but I can deal.
After seeing Slumdog Millionaire tonight I got that extra breathe to at least put up a few pictures from the beautiful wedding in India.
Incredible colors. Not exactly a destination wedding as they obvious live there. The food is amazing. The people incredible and capable of staying awake extremely long hours.

Professional Photographer's Magazine Features My Photography in Congo

Here is the opening page from Professional Photographer's Magazine who interviewed me for their January 2009 Professional Photographer's opening year issue. The boy in the picture is fighting over buckets. An aid group, Samaritan's Purse, had brought buckets to show how to purify water. No one cared about the water. The people made swords out of sticks. We watched it get pretty violent. One of the Aid workers pulled me out. I didn't feel anyone would attack me but then you never really know when individuals begin a mob. Please remember the people in the Eastern Congo and what they are going through. If anyone decides to donate talk to me about to who and how. God's peace Sherrlyn
