Photobucket
Alex's gorgeous eye make-up by Christian Dior artist, Darlene Hull. Alex is fun, romantic, spontaneous and daring. When it is time to play up to the camera Alex melts into the mood.

It's getting cold out there and the sizzling sands of Mexico are all so inviting. Here are some best destination wedding sites as agreed upon by www.destinationweddings and I.( a great site to visit if you are considering a destination wedding.

* Chacala Beach near Puerto Vallarta * Bahias de Huatulco, Oaxaca
* Playa del Amor, Cabo San Lucas * Mayakoba Beach, Riviera Maya
* North Beach, Isla Mujeres * Loreto, Baja;
* Four Seasons, Punta Mita * El Careyes Beach, Careyes.
*Tulum (near Isla de Mujeres) and one of my favorite places--San Migule de Allende

A Story from Iraq

Check out the story here
http://www.digitaljournalist.org/issue0409/dis_borkgren.html

I'm putting up this picture for 2 reasons. 1. I'm considering going back to the M.E. for awhile and two I have received a bunch of emails asking me about this picture that I took while in Iraq. I was on patrol with the 1st Cav unit when they pulled over to help some brothers dismantle an IED. It was actually a trap and at this moment the humvee was hit by a mortar. I was trying to not shake while I shot but as you see I was shaking. I had left my flac jacket and helmet inside because I thought it was safe. Never assume such silly things when on assignment. The gunner got hit but survived. I shot this picture as rocks and shrapnel was falling all around me. Then I too threw myself on the ground to protect my eyes and head. If you look closely you can see one of the guys leaning next to the humvee trying to avoid the shrapnel flying everywhere.

Men in Congo take a Pool Break

Someone asked me the other day if I am shooting weddings. Of course I am. I love photographing weddings. I like the pull and push of telling hard stories and telling the story of people in love on the most important day of their life.
These guys in the Congo are taking a break from the hard life in a backroom basement.

India Wedding

OK can you see the beads of sweat on my face? It was extreme heat during the wedding. This is during the reception. The wedding ceremony lasted 2 days and 2 nights. Even the photographer gets painted during the wedding. Orange means holy and luck (I think). I didn't even know this and I wore an orange top to the wedding.

Wedding table placing Isn't this gorgeous!!! HAPPINESS

Each table at Jen's wedding had a beautiful saying about love and happiness. It made everything so perfect. If you can't read that it says:
I look in your eyes and there
I see what happiness really means
The Love that we share, makes life so sweet
Together we'll always be

Wedding fun Before the Ceremony on Your Destination Wedding

Fun for wedding geared to entertain your guests keeps getting better!

If you are on a destination wedding the activities are limitless. You can get guests
together before the wedding ceremony for a dive in the ocean together or a hot air balloon ride above the city. This is especially easy to do if your wedding isn't until the evening.
Bring the photographer along to include a "day in the life" photo shoot.

Come On In

Post a note, a poem, a newsbit whatever you please.

Thanks to a very cool out of the box kinda guy, Gary Klein who made it all happen!!!!! Yeah Gary
